New Tracks from The Streets, Basement Jaxx, Justice & Oasis
Summer 2008 has been void of new music for me, I don’t know about you… Fortunately, a few artist have came to save us from our stale, dusty music libraries, The Streets, Basement Jaxx, Justice, and Oasis!
The Streets, a.k.a. Mike Skinner, is back with his third album, Everything is Borrowed.
I suggest you jump over to the Streets’ MySpace page to hear most of the new album streaming, or go ahead and buy the swanky USB version of the album. You can also stick around and view a music video for the song “The Escapist” off of the new album. Everything is Borrowed is available as of 9/15/2008.
Basemwnt Jaxx, an electronic, house, garage duo from the UK have come out with a couple of EPs, Planet 1 and Planet 2.
Jump over to Basement Jaxx’s psychedelic MySpace page for streaming music off their new EPs, both available as 9/17/2008.
Justice, an electronic, house duo from France, has recorded some new tunes for the Dior Homme Spring/Summer 2008 fashion show and have recently released them on their MySpace page split into four epic tracks, titled “Planisphere part 1 – 4.”
Take the jump if you wish to experience the visual and the auditory components together. Release Unknown.
Oasis choose to debut their new album, Dig Out Your Soul, in a relatively folksy way this past weekend. Take a glance and a close listen at the article over at StereoGum where a few of Oasis’ new songs are premiered to the public by the way of NYC street performers!
Dig Out Your Soul due early October 2008.
